Erin Ard loved to say, she put the ARD in HazARD. She was the brightest light and a true gift to our school. Erin was a Kindergarten teacher at R.F. Hazard Elementary in Garden Grove Unified School District. She was a beloved teacher to her scholars and a dear friend to her coworkers. Erin was, without a doubt, One of a Kind! She always brought so much sunshine and joy to everyone.
A few weeks ago, Erin was diagnosed with liver and kidney failure. She was at home in hospice care, surrounded and comforted by her adoring family, when she passed away on January 21. We are all saddened by this tremendous loss.
Erin's love and dedication to our HazARD scholars and community shined through every day. She genuinely loved each child as if they were her own. Erin dedicated 18 years to capturing their hearts and engaging their minds, while making sure they were never in need of any essential school supplies, snacks, or clothing. This is undoubtedly, her legacy. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Erin Ard's foundation for HazARD scholars. All donations, 100%, will go directly to the students of R.F. Hazard Elementary, in Santa Ana. We appreciate your support in helping to honor Erin's last wish to give back to her HazARD school community.
We will love you forever.
