Our mother, Alicia Cruz, was a beautiful soul who would help anyone with anything at any time. She was also the candy lady next to the elementary school, where all the children would come to buy treats from her after school. She was loved by so many, and this tragedy has deeply affected not only our loved ones but our entire community. We will always remember her as the best mother, grandmother, and candy lady. Our hearts feel so sad and empty without her here, and her laughter was truly one of a kind.
