Oreo was the first dog I ever picked and paid for myself. From the very first day, I spoiled him with treats and toys—he was the only dog I’ve ever known who truly loved his toys. The sound of a squeak would send him into a frenzy of excitement, and he never tired of chasing after toys I threw for him. He’d always bring them right back to my hand, ready for another round, even when I was the one who needed a break. At night, Oreo loved to cuddle, often sleeping right by my neck like a warm, comforting scarf. His puppy face was so adorable, and he had an impressive vertical jump—sometimes it seemed like he was a pogo stick, bouncing so high in the air. Oreo was truly one of a kind, and I cherished every moment with him.

The last night before the tragic incident, Oreo slept beside me for a full twelve hours. The next morning, he was his usual happy self, wiggling his tail as he went out to the front yard. But in an instant, everything changed. A woman came to my driveway in tears, and I knew something was terribly wrong. She didn’t have to say anything—I could see the heartbreak in her eyes. Oreo had been pinned by her car’s wheel, and when I finally reached him, I broke down. The pain of losing him is something I can’t put into words. He was more than a pet; he was my companion, my joy, and my comfort. Nothing can replace him, and I still find myself hoping this is just a bad dream.

Now, I want to honor Oreo’s memory in the most loving way I can. The funds from this fundraiser will help cover the costs of his cremation and memorial.
