Olivia GladysAnn Ricker, my beautiful baby, has been gone for 36 days now. Incredible challenges marked her life—she was homeless, and struggled with severe untreated mental illness and addiction. Olivia was a person of deep feeling and resilience. She deserved compassion and dignity.
Olivia passed away from an overdose. I am faced with the heartbreaking task of arranging her final expenses, including her cremation, viewing, and wake. I do not have the financial means to give her the farewell she deserves, and I am reaching out for help from those who understand the importance of honoring her life. Olivia’s story is not unique. There are countless women facing similar struggles—women who are often overlooked or left behind by the systems meant to help them. Being that she was no longer a minor, was single, and was childless, less resources were available to her.
After covering Olivia’s final needs, any remaining funds will be invested to support women like her, ensuring they receive immediate and continuous care, with urgent intervention and ongoing support. I want to create a legacy for Olivia that brings hope and real change, so that no one is told they no longer meet the requirements for help, and that every overdose is met with an immediate drug rehab ITA. Your generosity will help lay Olivia to rest with dignity and extend a lifeline to others in need.
Thank you for considering a donation to honor Olivia, my daughter.
