It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our coworker and friend, Olga Leon, who recently lost her battle with cancer.

Olga was more than just a coworker to many of us, she was a person who stood up for what was right. She believed deeply in fairness, dignity, and looking out for the people around her. During our contract fight, Olga was someone who showed up. She walked the picket lines, spoke up for her coworkers, and fought for a fair contract that included living wages and quality healthcare for working families.

But what people remember most about Olga is the way she treated others. She always backed up her coworkers and wasn’t afraid to stand up when something wasn’t right. She carried herself with courage, kindness, and a strong sense of justice that inspired the people around her.

Olga leaves behind a loving family, including her wonderful children, who meant everything to her.

We are raising funds to support Olga’s family during this incredibly difficult time. All donations will go directly toward helping cover funeral costs and other expenses related to Olga’s passing.
