Honoring Officer Rose: Support His Loved Ones

On Friday, August 8, 2025, a tragic shooting occurred near the CDC headquarters and Emory University campus in Atlanta. In the line of duty, DeKalb County Police Officer David Rose was fatally shot. As a U.S. Marine veteran, husband, and father of two—with a third child on the way—this loss weighs deeply on our community.

Officer Rose courageously responded to the active shooter situation, in which multiple CDC buildings were struck. Fortunately, no other civilians were harmed, including the 92 children at a nearby daycare.

As a gesture of solidarity, our team—including two of our stores located in DeKalb County—will be organizing a collection of essential items for Officer Rose’s family and the affected agency. We are gathering donations such as toys, blankets, diapers, and other necessities.

This GoFundMe has been created to help cover immediate expenses such as medical bills, funeral costs, and to offer ongoing support for his wife and children in the months and years to come.
