On December 26th 2025, the world lost a friend, a brother, a colleague named Octavius Ware. Octavius or “Dr O” as so many knew was a loner, a shy and timid person, he masked his emotions from the world, even in his toughest times. If you really knew Octavius, he loved his old school music, comic books and Marval movies, big helping plates of food; and just a conversation about life. He was a jokester and loved making people laugh, while looking at you with his silly raised eyebrow.

Dr O was dealt many bad hands in life, as he proclaimed; and he faced troubling health issues leading up to the end of 2025. Many, including myself did not realize he was a secret diabetic or even had Atrial fibrillation (AFib) which ultimately cut his life short.

I grew to know Octavius for many years, when I met him at Target going back to 2010. He became a part of my family. Oct longed for love in a relationship, a family for support. He always claimed he had no one, and in his passing I see it now.

The purpose of this Gofundme is to give Octavius what he longed for in life. Myself (Ben Lara) My sister (Hillary Lara), (Holly Hand) and (Katrina Kindred) have been working collaboratively everyday since we heard the news. We had to find Octavius and locate him, find out what happened. Currently we have taken on responsibility of becoming his next of kin, because the county was unable to find any of his family. In doing so we will take ownership of his body and plan to have him cremated. We were able to locate his mother’s grave site in Austin Texas. Once we get Octavius ashes returned we plan to have him buried along with his mother. Due to time and cost, it will most definitely be a “weekday” but we will let everyone know exact dates once we find out, so any and all can show up for Octavius celebration of life.
