It's been 49 years since North Fox Island was exposed to the public.

For the victims and survivors, it has been much longer.

49 years of being swept aside and forgotten.

49 years, mostly in silence.

49 years of triggers. The Oakland County Child Killer. The McMartin Preschool Trial (1980s), The Catholic Church Sexual Abuse Scandals, Jimmy Savile, Michael Jackson, Harvey Weinstein, Sean Diddy Combs, Jeffrey Epstein... The list goes on and on and on.

We can't end it. But, we can be with them with it, emotionally.

With the help of historian Richard Wiles and Joel Gerring with the Michigan DNR, who has initiated a new program consequent to this proposal; we have partnered to install a public memorial bench honoring the survivors.

The bench will be placed on North Fox Island; the heart of the abuse.

July, 2026 marks the 50yr. anniversary. I am hoping funding can be raised long beforehand to ensure ample time for the logistics of the matter.

I have been working with confirmed survivor Michael Farquhar on this effort as well as others. Mr. Farquhar himself designed the plaque text, which will read:

"In Memory of the children who suffered under Brother Paul's Children Mission during the 1960s and 1970s.

We honor their courage, mourn their suffering, and vow to protect all children.

Never Forgotten • Never Again"
