On April 10, 2026, we lost Noel Nicholas Ojeada at the young age of 24. Noel was a good-hearted young man who truly wanted better for himself. In the two years before his passing, he found his way to church and was baptized—something he was proud of and wanted to continue. Unfortunately, he didn’t always have the support or transportation to keep going, but his desire to grow in faith never left him. I remember Noel showing up to church in flip-flops, sometimes without proper clothing. He didn’t have much, but he showed up anyway. That says a lot about who he was—he just needed help and guidance. He also had a light about him. At times, he was funny in his own unique way. The way he walked to open a door reminded me of Lurch from The Addams Family—it would make you laugh without him even trying.
