Hey this is Jas, Doch’s mom,

I’ve been putting off making this because I wasn’t sure how I wanted to approach this whole situation, but here we are.

Nick or as most people know him Birdie/Bird was rough around the edges but he’d fight a grizzly bear for us if we asked him to. He was always my go to first call when I didn’t know what to do. He came to things when we needed him to be there. We fought and laughed and cried together.

Most importantly he was Doch’s dad.

Nick was always amazed and proud of how Doch turned out (so far). He’s smart, polite, and goofy. He was always in awe of how a kid like ours could come from him. (As if he was a horrible human. Dude had a heart of gold). Losing your dad at any age is terrible and I can’t even imaging losing a dad at 13. I know he’s going to do big things and make all of us proud.

I know Nick would have wanted us to do something for Doch so that’s why (with some convincing and talking to some close friends and family) we decided to do this.

Anything raised from this will be going into an account strictly for Doch’s future.
