Honoring Nick Konczarek

Dear Friends,

Our community is heartbroken by the sudden and devastating loss of Nick Konczarek. Nick was a loving and devoted husband and father, a beloved son and brother, and our cherished friend. Nick was a truly special, once-in-a-lifetime person, and his loss is felt deeply by his family and friends, near and far, who were so fortunate to know him.

Nick lived life with enthusiasm, passion, good humor, kindness, and generosity. He would be the first to share a warm welcome, a helping hand, or a laugh. Above all, he was devoted to the people he loved most – his children, Danika and Henri, and his beautiful wife, Deanna. Whether he was cheering on Danika and Henri at the rink or on the field, spending time with Deanna, squeezing in a round of golf, or playing hockey with friends, he held in his heart true gratitude and appreciation for the life he built with his family. We will forever miss him as a coach, teammate, friend, and dedicated member of his entire community.

Our dear friend Deanna, who is an outstanding support and bright light to us all, is facing the unimaginable loss of her best friend and partner. The entire Konczarek/Lovasik family is so grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and thoughts. They will continue to need our community, now and in the time to come.

We are all searching for ways to support Deanna, Danika, and Henri. So many of you have reached out as a comfort to the family and to offer your helping hands. Together, we will honor Nick’s legacy by offering the same love and commitment to his family that he and Deanna always showed to all of ours.
