Natalie Wills was the brightest light in any room. She was a caring and selfless friend, a trusted mentor and coach, and a devoted daughter and sister. Natalie’s love for dogs was unmatched, and she took her role as Sunny’s mom very seriously. Her warmth and kindness touched everyone she met, and she had a unique ability to make those around her feel heard and supported.
Natalie’s passion for lacrosse allowed her to reach countless people and make an immeasurable impact. She cherished the relationships she built with teammates, coaches, and especially “her girls” at McDonogh. Even on her hardest days battling cancer, Natalie showed up authentically, always striving to make her team better and her community stronger. Her legacy is one of resilience, compassion, and unwavering support for others.
This memorial fund has been created to continue Natalie’s life work—growing the game of lacrosse and supporting the programs that meant the most to her: St. Mary’s High School, Vanderbilt University, and McDonogh School. In addition, a portion of the funds will be donated to breast cancer research, honoring Natalie’s courageous fight. While the exact breakdown of how funds will be distributed is still being determined, every contribution will help carry on Natalie’s spirit and support the causes she cared about most. Natalie would be incredibly humbled knowing how many people want to help carry on her legacy. We are grateful that our community will allow Natalie’s spirit to continue to touch the lives and causes that meant the most to her.
