Honoring Nam Taing
Donation protected
Hello everyone,
My grandfather Nam Taing went about his usual day on February 6th, attending his dialysis session. At the end of his dialysis, he suddenly became hypotensive and the nurses had to call 9-1-1 for an emergency. Unfortunately the hospital also had difficulty stabilizing his blood pressure despite various interventions and their best efforts. Nam fought for 12 hours before his heart gave out and he unexpectedly passed the early morning of February 7th.
My grandfather was always a fighter. In his younger years he survived the Cambodian Genocide and diaspora of the 70’s, immigrated to the US with a young family of 6, and fought through 10+ years of dialysis treatments amongst many other battles. We have lost a member of our Taing dynasty and my family is devastated, shocked, and quite unprepared for this loss.
As this was quite sudden for our family, your donations will help offset funeral accommodations and help support my sweet grandmother, his wife of 50+ years, navigate this new life without my grandfather’s presence. We appreciate any contribution big or small. We understand times are hard for many and we ask even if you are unable to donate financially, if you can please donate some of your time to share and spread the word of this post. Thank you. We love you guys, please hug your loved ones as much as you possibly can.
Service date is still to be decided, however if you have any pictures or wonderful memories to share, please post and send them our way. We will use these for his memorial.
