Hi, my name is Keisha Nicole Lacy, and I’m a grieving mother living every parent’s worst nightmare. Tragically, I lost my beloved daughter, My’Kari Jacob’s, who passed away by suicide in our family home. I was the one who discovered her, a moment that has forever changed my life and left my heart shattered beyond words.

Since that day, I’ve been struggling with overwhelming grief and trauma, as well as the heavy financial burden of laying my child to rest. No mother should ever have to plan a funeral for their youngest daughter, and yet I’m now facing the painful reality of trying to afford a proper and dignified homegoing service for My’Kari while navigating unimaginable emotional pain.

My’Kari Jacob’s was a sweet, kind, and creative young woman whose light touched everyone she met. She had a beautiful spirit, a warm heart, and a presence that filled rooms with love and joy. Those who knew her describe her as someone who made others feel seen, valued, and cared for. Her creativity and gentle soul left a lasting impression on friends, family, and her community. Although her life was far too short, My’Kari left her mark on the world, and her memory will continue to live on through the love she gave so freely.
