On September 14th, my mother was suddenly taken ill and hospitalized. Over the next few months, she fought bravely through a series of ups and downs, moving between four different hospitals as her health fluctuated. In December, she became nonverbal, and last night, she passed away, leaving a deep void in our family and in the hearts of everyone who knew her.

My mother was truly special—she was like a mother to many and family to everyone. Her kindness, warmth, and generosity touched countless lives, and I have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support from friends, family, and our community. The calls, texts, and messages have been a comfort, but I haven’t been able to respond to everyone during this difficult time.

We are raising funds to help cover her funeral services and home going celebration. This fundraiser is a way for everyone who loved her to be part of honoring her memory and supporting our family.
