With a heavy heart and a chest full of sadness, I share the news that my Mom Gaby Escobar passed away at the age of 49.

I received the call no one wishes to ever receive. On April 7, 2022 at around 3 pm. I received a call from my cousin Carlos in Mexico letting me know that my mother had passed on and joined my uncle who had also passed away a couple of months ago this year. My mom was the source of my inspiration, she empowered me to be the person I am now. Sadly due to the awful immigration laws, I was separated from my mom at the age of 17.

My mom was the only person who would find time to call me at least 3 times a day and it was a personal dream of mine to take care of her for the same amount of years she took care of me. Thankfully I was able to visit my mom in Mexico and was able to reciprocate the love and attention that we shared virtually in a physical form. Even though my visits to Mexico were only a few I always brought home tons of memories. I am heavily saddened, and I'm still finding it hard to believe the shocking news.

I am organizing this fundraiser to help my family in Mexico with the funeral expenses and medical bills.
