On February 12th at 11:50 pm, the police department knocked on my door and asked me to sit down, as they delivered the news that my mother had passed away at her home in Tallahassee, Florida. My heart is broken. Anyone who knew my mother knew she was one of a kind. She was funny, proud, and hard-working, but most importantly, she was filled with love. She missed her husband, Steve, more than words could explain, so, per her request, there will not be services. She will be taken to Destin, her and Steve's favorite place, so they can live out their dream of retiring there.

The funds I'm raising are to cover the cost of cremation, cleaning out their home, and hiring a lawyer to settle the estate.

I thank everyone who loved my mom; she will be missed.
