For the past 12 years, I had the honor and privilege of caring for my elderly disabled mother full-time. On May 7, 2026, my beautiful mom Janice Stotts peacefully passed away in her sleep at the age of 84.
Unfortunately, my mother did not have funeral insurance or burial benefits, and I am now facing the heartbreaking reality of not being able to afford the cost of laying her to rest. It has been incredibly painful knowing she is waiting in the morgue while I try to find a way to give her the burial she deserves.
My mom was my whole world. After my father passed away when I was only 13 years old, it was always just the two of us. Caring for her throughout her later years was never a burden it was one of the greatest joys and blessings of my life. As her health declined, she required constant care and several doctor appointments each week. In order to be by her side and care for her properly, I put my work on hold and devoted myself fully to her needs.
She was loving, caring, strong, and even feisty in her older age, but always gentle and kind hearted. She touched the lives of everyone who knew her, and I know she is now at peace in Heaven reunited with my father.
As my mother’s only child, I am humbly asking for help during this difficult time. Any donation, no matter how small, would mean more than words can express and would help me give my mother a dignified burial beside my father.
If you are unable to donate, please keep our family in your prayers and consider sharing this fundraiser. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness, support, and compassion during this painful time.
