Colleen-Reidy-Tederous passed away last night after a long illness that became very severe in recent months. She spent years living on social security, with no savings to fall back on, and the high cost of where we live made it impossible to put anything aside. Because of her health, she was unable to work for quite a few years, which only made things harder for both of us. Davo was by her side for 35 Years and together they built a life filled with love and generosity. Now, with her passing, we are left to handle funeral expenses and bills like rent that are owed, and it’s overwhelming to face these costs alone.

Colleen and Davo were true soul mates, together for 35 years—a testament to their bond. They always welcomed anyone who came to their home to sit down for a meal or a drink, or even to stay if they had nowhere else to go. Their kindness and hospitality touched so many lives. For years, my mom loved walking around town, rain or shine, and people still ask me if she’s out there getting her steps in. Her determination motivated others, and her warmth made everyone feel welcome. Even when her health took away her ability to walk, her spirit never faded, and her boyfriend remained by her side, supporting her every step of the way.

Both of us are involved in this fundraiser, and we are reaching out to friends and loved ones from both of their lives.
