April 20, 2026. On his grandmother’s birthday, my husband Darien was involved in a fatal car accident during his work shift. This loss has left a deep void in my life and in the hearts of everyone who knew him. He was a loving father to our three dogs, and his passion for video games and streaming brought joy to his days. He cherished connecting with his online friends, sharing stories, caring for our dogs, and spending time with me. He always found happiness in bowling and watching Star Wars. I loved to bake for him, cuddle, travel, and always nagged him to try new foods. He also had a gentle touch for growing plants, nurturing life wherever he could. Darien has always been a grandma's boy, she made it no secret that he was her favorite grandchild, which his family always joked about. The fact that he passed away on her birthday has definitely left a bittersweet feeling in all of our hearts.
