My grandfather did not deserve to die this way. Many of you may not know this, but he was a victim of medical malpractice and negligence. The way he was treated causes us deep pain, anger, and heartbreak. He deserved better care, better dignity, and a better ending.
My grandfather is one of my heroes. He was the most caring, helpful, strong, kindhearted, selfless, considerate, and compassionate man I have ever known. Growing up, my siblings, cousins, and I would look forward to every summer and winter break because we knew we’d get to spend them with our grandparents. They lived in Wisconsin, but my grandfather would always drive all the way to Illinois to pick us up so we could be together. Those trips were filled with simple joys—he’d take us to McDonald’s or Burger King, and we’d spend hours fishing, competing to see who could catch the most fish.
Even as we grew into adults, my grandfather’s love and support never wavered. He would still make the long drive to Illinois, this time to help us fix our cars or lend a hand whenever we were struggling. No matter what we needed, he and my grandmother would always find a way to help. Their generosity and love have shaped who I am, and I am forever grateful for the memories we shared.
We are now facing the heartbreaking loss of my grandfather, and we want to honor his memory by giving him the farewell he deserves. We are raising funds to help cover his funeral and related expenses. Any support during this difficult time would mean so much to our family. Thank you for helping us celebrate the life of a truly remarkable man.
I love you Pàw-taów, Rest in Paradise ❤️
