This is a fundraiser I never imagined I would have to create.

Yesterday, my father was taken from us in a violent and senseless act.

Our family is devastated, and we are trying to navigate the unimaginable loss of someone who was deeply loved by so many.

My dad was witty, funny, incredibly smart, stubborn as hell, and loved his family with his whole heart.

He was a son, a father, a grandfather, a friend, and so much more. His grandbabies, my grandmother, and I will carry this loss with us for the rest of our lives.

Along with the emotional pain of losing him so suddenly, our family is now facing unexpected expenses during an incredibly difficult time.

We are asking for help with his cremation costs and travel expenses for his immediate family so that those closest to him can be together and make the necessary arrangements.

We never expected to be facing these expenses this way or this soon.

Any amount, no matter how small, would mean more to our family than we can put into words.

Right now, we are simply trying to get through each day and make sure my father is cared for with the love and dignity he deserves.

My father deserved more time. He deserved to come home. He deserved more memories with me, his grandbabies, his mother, and everyone who loved him.
