Honoring My Father and Brother: Help Us Lay Them to Rest

Hello, my name is Mariah Boyd Lawson and I am making this GoFundMe on behalf of my mother Ichelle Boyd Riser. Our heart is broken beyond words. On April 26, 2025, our world was shattered when we lost both my father and brother in a devastating tragedy in Palm Beach County.

According to news reports (WPTV News), my father was involved in a violent incident that claimed both of their lives. My 20-year-old autistic brother tragically stabbed my father to death. Police arrived on scene and shot my brother. Our family is now left grieving an unimaginable loss and trying to find a way forward through the pain.

Adding to this heartbreak, my 14-year-old sister survived the tragedy. I am stepping up to take guardianship of her and give her the love, support, and stability she needs as we move through this incredibly difficult time together.

We are now facing the overwhelming task of laying both my father and brother to rest with dignity, while also preparing to care for and support my sister's future. We were not prepared for something like this, emotionally or financially. That’s why I have created this GoFundMe — to help cover funeral costs, memorial services, and to assist with the care and needs of my sister moving forward.
