My dad was a wonderful and social character at every event. He was the one person you could always count on who would consistently be there, no matter the moment. My dad shared an array of memories with every person he encountered; everyone was a friend, everyone was his sibling. My dad was a hardworking man; he was a family man. Every morning, he would drink his coffee and greet his wife; every afternoon, he would come home and watch ESPN, and every evening, he would open YouTube Kids for his grandsons. Every Thursday was spent at Bruster's. He would order a banana split with pistachio, strawberry, and black raspberry truffle ice cream, no chocolate syrup, light strawberry juice drizzle, pistachios on top, light on the pineapple, and 5 cherries, sparing half the cherries for his wife, and half for himself. Consistency was important to him; he would stick to this routine every week: his ice cream, his daughters, his grandsons, his wife, and his mother, and, of course, a little sweet treat and a soccer game. Through the rain or the cold, he would still be at Brusters every Thursday, through his obstacles and his stress, he would still be there for his family every day, and still is. He had a fiery spirit, intense at times, but always brighter than yesterday's light. He was larger than life.
After his passing, our family is facing the challenge of covering his funeral expenses and medical bills. The financial burden is heavy, and we want to honor his memory with the celebration he deserves. Any support, whether through donations or sharing this fundraiser, would mean so much to our family. Thank you for helping us honor my dad's memory and support us as we navigate this loss.
