⸻ Hi, my name is George Wang Jr., and I’m humbly asking for your support to help cover a portion of my father’s funeral expenses — my best friend, my hero, and truly the greatest human being I’ve ever known. For the past 15 years, I lived every day with my dad as if it might be our last. Now that the day has come, my heart is full from everything we shared — but it’s heavier than words can express. Im facing this financial burden alone. He leaves behind the memory of my beloved mom, who we lost to cancer 13 years ago. As we try to give him the farewell he deserves, we are leaning on the kindness and generosity of others. If you’ve followed our story through vlogs, photos, or comedy, you’ve caught a glimpse of the man he was: – He mailed me handwritten letters and only lived a block away — just to show love. – He dropped off food for me every single day and made lunch for the entire staff at his dialysis center. – He turned off his Uber meter to give free rides to strangers who needed help. He immigrated to the U.S. with nothing, and by the age of 25, he had built a restaurant empire. In 1987, he appeared on the cover of Colorado Springs Magazine. Long before Panda Express, he was the first to bring Chinese food to the mainstream in Colorado — a true pioneer. But more than any title or achievement, he was simply the best person I’ve ever known. He’s the reason I have no idols — because no one else ever lived or loved like my dad did. I’ve started this GoFundMe to raise $10,000 — just a portion of the total expenses. If you can give anything at all, or even just share this, it would mean the world to us. Thank you for reading. Thank you for seeing him. With love, George Wang Jr.
