He immigrated to the U.S. with nothing, and by the age of 25, he had built a restaurant empire. In 1987, he appeared on the cover of Colorado Springs Magazine. Long before Panda Express, he was the first to bring Chinese food to the mainstream in Colorado — a true pioneer. But more than any title or achievement, he was simply the best person I’ve ever known. He’s the reason I have no idols — because no one else ever lived or loved like my dad did.
