With the heaviest heart, I share that my father has passed away peacefully, surrounded by love.

My dad was truly one of a kind. He had a heart that made everyone feel welcome, seen and cared for. He was loving, sweet, and full of life. The kind of person who could make friends anywhere he went. His charisma was something special… people were naturally drawn to him and once you knew him, you loved him.

To me, he was everything. My protector, my guide, my safe place. The love he gave me is something I will carry for the rest of my life.

In his final moments, he showed us just how strong he was. He fought with every breath, every heartbeat. And even through the pain, he held on long enough for us to be by his side, to tell him we loved him, to forgive, to connect and to say goodbye. He left this world with dignity, surrounded by his children and love.

While our hearts are shattered, we find peace knowing he is no longer suffering.

One of my dad’s final wishes was to be laid to rest in El Salvador, next to his parents and his sister back home, where his roots and family are. We are doing everything we can to honor that wish, but the costs of funeral arrangements and international transportation are overwhelming for our family.

Con el corazón más pesado, comparto que mi padre ha fallecido en paz, rodeado de amor.

Mi papá era verdaderamente único. Tenía un corazón que hacía sentir a todos bienvenidos, vistos y cuidados. Era amoroso, dulce y lleno de vida. De esas personas que hacen amigos en cualquier lugar al que van. Su carisma era algo especial… la gente se sentía naturalmente atraída hacia él, y una vez que lo conocías, lo querías.

Para mí, él lo era todo. Mi protector, mi guía, mi lugar seguro. El amor que me dio es algo que llevaré conmigo por el resto de mi vida.

En sus últimos momentos, nos mostró lo fuerte que era. Luchó con cada respiración, con cada latido. Y aun en medio del dolor, se mantuvo con nosotros el tiempo suficiente para que estuviéramos a su lado, para decirle cuánto lo amamos, para perdonar, conectar y despedirnos. Se fue de este mundo con dignidad, rodeado de sus hijos y de amor.

Aunque nuestros corazones están destrozados, encontramos paz al saber que ya no está sufriendo.

Uno de los últimos deseos de mi papá era ser sepultado en El Salvador, junto a sus padres y su hermana, en su tierra, donde están sus raíces y su familia. Estamos haciendo todo lo posible por cumplir ese deseo, pero los costos de los arreglos funerarios y el traslado internacional son abrumadores para nuestra familia.
