On June 14th the Halbert family suffered a devastating loss. After courageously battling pancreatic cancer for five years, Bill Halbert passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving wife Teresa, his children Holly, Faith, and Jake, and his son-in-law Chris.

Known to most as Mr. Halbert, a beloved and inspirational teacher at Lincoln High School, Bill devoted much of his life to teaching and imparting his wisdom on the students who were lucky enough to be in his classes. He was widely known for his sense of humor and willingness to share his endless life lessons. He touched many, many lives in his 23 year career.

Aside from his extensive career as a teacher, Mr. Halbert was a devoted husband and father. His love and pride for his family was always at the forefront of whatever he did in life. He also loved baseball, and was a committed Giants fan until the very end.

During this time of immense heartbreak and grief, Mr. Halbert’s family is having to navigate funeral arrangements, while also trying to figure out how life goes on without their most important person.
