Our beloved mother, Mother Michelle M. Coates, peacefully transitioned from labor to reward on November 27, 2025, after a courageous battle with Stage 4 adrenal, lung, and liver cancer. Though her fight was brief—having just been diagnosed on October 3, 2025—it was fiercely aggressive. Yet even in the midst of this storm, she held on with unwavering strength and unshakable faith.

Insurance restrictions surrounding cancer prevent us from being able to use insurance support toward her homegoing arrangements.

Everyone who knew Mother Coates can attest that she was truly the epitome of 2 Timothy 4:7 (KJV):

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.”

She lived and embodied this scripture.

As we prepare to celebrate her life, her love, and her legacy, we humbly ask for your support. Our desire is to send her home with the dignity, honor, and class that reflect the extraordinary woman she was, a dedicated Mother in Zion—sweet, giving, nurturing, and overflowing with the love of God.
