On Monday night, August 11, 2025, we lost a beloved father, brother, and friend — Mostafa Kerkach. Mostafa’s sudden passing has left a deep hole in the hearts of all who knew him. He is survived by his three children — Layla, Joseph, and Samira — his former wife and close friend Joanne Kerkach, and his five sisters in his home country of Morocco.

Mostafa came to the United States in 1986 at just 21 years old, chasing a dream and building a new life. In Framingham, he became a familiar face to countless neighbors and customers as the owner of Hartford Street Pizza, which he proudly ran for over 20 years. His love for cooking didn’t end there, he shared his talent and warmth in kitchens across the community until his retirement earlier this year.

Those who knew Mostafa will remember his kindness, generosity, and unwavering work ethic. He welcomed everyone with a smile and a plate of food, never hesitating to help others in times of need. Now, it’s our turn to come together for his family.

The family has chosen to have a private funeral but there will be a Celebration of Life on Sunday August 17th at the Framingham Columbus Club in Framingham, MA from 1pm-4pm.
