Wednesday, December 3rd, the Berry Family was met with a horrific tragedy when the patriarch, Moses Berry, had a massive stroke in front of his wife, Lottie. Moses fought bravely with the care team at TriStar Skyline, but sadly passed Monday, December 8th after being declared brain dead. And while he did have a life insurance policy, only half is being paid out, leaving additional costs to the family.

Moses “Buck” Samuel Berry, was born in Nashville, TN July 9th 1943 to Isaac and Grace Berry. He attended Metropolitan Nashville schools and completed the 11th grade at Pearl High School. In his early teens, accepted Christ as his savior and was baptized at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church. He later would go on to join and serve in the US Army. Always having a passion for working on automobiles, he was a certified mechanic in the Army and completed additional certification at Nashville State Area Vocational-Technical School, where he graduated as a certified mechanic.

During his pastime, he taught himself how to play the guitar, piano, harmonica, drum and trumpet enjoyed both playing and singing.

He leaves behind his partner and wife of 54 years, Lottie Berry; 7 of his 8 children; 23 grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. He was proceeded in death by his parents; son, Joseph Boyd; grandson Samuel Hall, Jr. ; and great granddaughter Olivia-Rose Nwaise.

Service: Sunday Dec 14th viewing is from 3-4pm with funeral service to follow at South Nashville SDA Church 244 Tusculum Rd Antioch, TN 37013
