Honoring Mom's Legacy with a Memorial Bench
Donation protected
Mom was a truly selfless person who spent most of her life loving and caring for others. She was an incredible mother who loved her children dearly and was incredibly kind despite everything the world threw at her. While she was taken from us entirely too early, she was surrounded in her final moments by those who loved her truly so much.
In lieu of flowers, we are asking that mom be honored by donations towards a memorial bench at Sharon Woods Metropark in Columbus. Mom was always excited to find a new trail or hike to go on to spend time with the kids anytime they stopped by, and Sharon Woods was a favorite place of hers to spend time at. It was a calm respite for her in stressful situations and training grounds where we prepared for our Pelotonia ride last year. The goal we are setting allows us to donate a bench to the Metropark in her honor for at least 20 years so that her family and friends might find that same respite and joy in a place that mom enjoyed exploring. Any additional donations above our goal will go towards the donation requirement for her family riding Pelotonia in her honor next year. Participating in Pelotonia was something mom truly loved doing to help raise money for cancer research and something that she was hoping to continue doing this year. In her memory, all of the siblings hope to participate in riding the distance she had traveled during years past. During previous rides, mom rode for a number of family and friends who were affected by cancer and we hope to continue that legacy for next year's ride. Any donations towards these wishes would be greatly appreciated in honoring our mom and continuing her legacy. Thank you for your time.
