# Honoring Millie: Helping Grieving Mothers Heal

Hello,

My name is Jessica, and I am creating this fundraiser in honor of my precious daughter, Amelia Jane — lovingly called Millie — who was born on May 7, 2024, and passed away just four days later, on May 11, 2024. This year, as we approach her first birthday, I wanted to find a way to honor Millie’s life, her memory, and the boundless love I will always have for her.

In the weeks and months after losing Millie, I clung to anything that could offer me a sliver of hope or comfort. One book, *You Are the Mother of All Mothers* by Angela Miller, gave me words for my grief when nothing else could. It helped me see that even in unbearable loss, I was — and will always be — Millie’s mother.

Now, as Millie's first birthday approaches, I want to give that same comfort to other mothers who are walking the same heartbreaking path. My goal is to raise funds to purchase copies of *You Are the Mother of All Mothers* and donate them to the hospital where Millie was born— to be given to mothers who have just lost their precious babies.

This project is my way of making sure Millie's short but beautiful life leaves a lasting impact.

It’s a way to say: *You are not alone. Your baby mattered. Your grief matters. Your motherhood is real.*

I miss Millie more than words could ever express. Every moment without her aches with love that has nowhere to go. But in this small way, I can take some of that love and send it out into the world — to other mothers who need it.

This is Millie's birthday gift. It is also mine.
