On October 4, the Phipps and Campbell family experienced an unimaginable loss with the passing of their beloved child, Miles, at just 15 years old.

Miles was a kind, talented, and creative soul who expressed himself through music. He loved playing the guitar, and spent countless hours composing songs that reflected his heart and imagination. He also loved skateboarding, bicycling, and spending time outdoors—especially at the park, surrounded by nature, where he found peace and inspiration.

Miles was a proud transgender male who was driven and faced the world with courage, authenticity, and grace, even in the face of bullying and misunderstanding. He is deeply loved and will forever be cherished by his family. His parents and his older sister, Aeva, will forever celebrate his laughter, his music, and his beautiful heart.

This tragedy has left their family heartbroken and facing emotional and financial challenges as they navigate this painful time. All donations will go directly to the family to help cover funeral and memorial expenses, time away from work to grieve and heal, counseling and mental health support, and any other unforeseen costs as they move through this profound loss.

The family will also be purchasing a park bench in Miles’ memory, a special place where others can sit, reflect, and share in the same joy of the outdoors that Miles loved so deeply.
