Honoring the Life of Mike Stoffel
In the early morning hours of July 19th, the world lost a truly wonderful and kind man. Mike was the best friend, partner, and other half to our dear friend, Amanda. He was also a father, grand pap, friend, and mentor. Mike touched the world with his love and his kindness and everyone knew of his unwavering support and belief in Amanda and her work with River Valley Organizing. He was the fixer, the painter, the cook, the teacher, always the first to show up and help and one of the very last to leave.
He was the caretaker of many, more than he probably ever realized. He loved to cook for folks, sharing food to show his love and care, and he was the first person you could call for help and you knew he would be there. You also knew that he would always make you laugh and his humor was a part of everything he did. He loved seeing people enjoy themselves. Mike was generous to all he encountered with his care, his love, his support, and his kindness. The lives he has touched are innumerable.
Mike had spent many years as a painter, during that time he faced some serious injuries that unfortunately impacted his ability to obtain life insurance. We are reaching out today and asking if you could us honor the life and work of Mike through a donation that will assist his family in laying him to rest.
