To be lucky enough to know Mike Oberg was to love him and feel loved by him.
His stories, his light, his outpouring of love will leave a hole in this world for an eternity.
Tragically, on May 26th, 2026, Mike took his own life.
He leaves behind an incredible wife, Dana, and three beautiful children, Braxton, Jack, and Macy, as well as three grandchildren, Charlotte, Emelia, and Penelope.
Mike was a lifelong dedicated paramedic, most recently in Critical Care at Parkview EMS. Beaming with a positive attitude, he was known for his forward action to help others and his commitment to serving his community.
Mike and Dana have been battling Type 1 diabetes for their youngest daughter, Macy, which has had a very high monthly cost to care for her. To offset that cost, Mike worked 70-hour work weeks to support his family as a household and for medications to treat Macy.
Unfortunately, information has progressed that Mike’s life insurance will not pay out to his grieving loved ones due to the suicide clause in the policy.
This leaves his Wife Dana (who is the BEST FNP in the state, biased opinion) with every single household, medical, and funeral cost as she navigates through the loss of her beloved husband.
I am pleading for us to come together as a community to support the Oberg Family during this increasingly difficult time.
Please support Mike’s family, friends, and coworkers in laying Mike to rest with dignity, honor, and love.
