My name is Shawn, and I am creating this fundraiser for a man I proudly called my brother, Mike Dill.

Mike was the kind of man you only meet a few times in life — loyal, hardworking, selfless, and always willing to help anyone who needed it. He dedicated years of his life serving this country, first in the United States Air Force from 1999 to 2005, where he achieved the rank of Senior Airman (E4), and later in the United States Navy, serving as a Construction Mechanic (CM2) until 2011.

Outside of the military, Mike was a family man through and through. His world revolved around his two daughters, and he would do absolutely anything for them. He also leaves behind his loving wife, Alma, and the family they built together. Mike opened his heart completely to Alma’s children and cared for them with the same love, support, and dedication he gave to everyone he called family. Family meant everything to him.

Mike loved spending time off-roading, riding Harleys, and tinkering with anything that had an engine. If it had wheels or a motor, Mike could probably fix it.

More than anything, Mike was an incredible friend and military brother. He was the guy you could count on no matter the situation. He fought hard in every aspect of life, and when he was diagnosed with leukemia in January, he approached that battle the same way — with strength, determination, and courage. Mike fought as hard as he possibly could until he simply couldn’t fight anymore.

This fundraiser is being created to help support Mike’s family during this devastating time and to help ease the financial burden that comes with losing someone so deeply loved.
