Michael “Mike” Clark, born May 12, 1973, in Laurel, Mississippi, passed away unexpectedly on June 3, 2025. He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Cecil Clark, and his mother, Athalene Clark Williams.
Mike is lovingly remembered by his children, Brittney Windham (Cody), Katlin Breland (Derick), and Austin Clark; his grandchildren, Kayden and Kinley Windham, and an unborn grandchild; and the mother of his children, Melissa Garick. He is also survived by his siblings, Sandra Tew (Ricky) and Tommy Clark (Yvonne), along with a large extended family of nieces, nephews, and countless others—chosen family and friends—too numerous to name but equally cherished.
To know Mike was to be drawn in by his infectious laugh, big heart, and magnetic spirit. He was a son, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, “pops”, and friend—but perhaps most memorably, he was the life of the party in every room he entered.
Mike found joy in the little things: quizzing his kids on classic rock songs, sneaking out for late-night chocolate milk runs, planning movie nights, and sharing good meals filled with laughter. His presence was always marked by warmth, humor, and a deep love for his family and friends.
Though his passing was sudden, his life was full—and the memories, laughter, and love he gave so freely will remain with us always. Rather than mourn the unexpected, let us celebrate the joyful times shared and the deep, enduring love he leaves behind.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to help cover expenses via their GoFundMe page
At this time, no formal services are scheduled.
—With love,
Katlin Breland
