Miguel Angel Raya
November 27, 1978– July 3, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Miguel Angel Raya (“Chato” to his family and friends) on July 3, 2025. Born in Wasco, California, on November 27, 1978, Miguel was a man whose quiet strength, deep wisdom, and unwavering love left a lasting mark on everyone who knew him.

Miguel didn’t say much — he didn’t need to. His actions spoke louder than words ever could. He approached life with determination, setting goals and seeing them through with grit, sacrifice, and an unshakable sense of purpose. Everything he did, he did for his family.

Miguel dedicated 28 years to the mechanic industry, a profession he deeply loved. His passion for his work was matched by his commitment to constant learning and improvement.

He was a lifelong fan of the Las Vegas Raiders, Los Angeles Dodgers & The Los Angeles Lakers cheering them on with the same passion he brought to everything he loved. Miguel had a gift for finding humor in the everyday, always laughing and helping others do the same. His sense of humor and easygoing nature made him someone people naturally gravitated toward.

Miguel was a devoted husband to Josephina Raya, his high school sweetheart and the love of his life. Together, they built a home filled with love, loyalty, and laughter. He was an incredible father — steady, loving, and present — to their children: Miguel Angel Jr., Sophia Lisette, Samuel Angel, and Emma Gabriella. His love for them was the driving force behind everything he did.

He was also a proud son to Miguel and Bertha Raya and a caring, dependable big brother to Jaime, Paulina, Alejandra, and Gavino. A doting uncle to his nieces and nephews.

Miguel showed up for his family — always — and his presence will be deeply missed.
Miguel lived with heart, humor, and quiet resilience. His legacy lives on in the people he loved, the values he instilled, and the example he set.
