In Loving Memory of Miguel – Our Cafecito Man

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Miguel — an incredible man, devoted father, loyal friend, loving partner, and the one we all affectionately called “the Cafecito Man.”

If you knew Miguel, you knew his favorite words were, “Cafecito time.” No matter what was happening — good day or bad day — he’d smile and say it like it was the solution to everything. And somehow, it was. Cafecito time meant laughter, stories, advice, comfort, and connection. It meant you mattered enough for him to pause and sit with you.

Miguel was also everyone’s IT man — the one who fixed everything. Phones glitching? Computer frozen? WiFi down? Miguel was already on the way. He never hesitated. He never complained. He just showed up, ready to help, ready to fix, ready to make you laugh while he did it.

But above all else, Miguel’s greatest pride and deepest love was his son, Mikey. He loved him beyond words. Some of Miguel’s happiest moments were spent taking Mikey to the dirt bike tracks — cheering him on, watching him ride, standing proudly on the sidelines. Those were their moments. That was his joy. Mikey was his entire world.

He also leaves behind his significant other Catherine, who, like so many of us, is heartbroken and navigating this unimaginable loss.

Miguel’s passing has left a space that can never be filled. We are asking for support to help with funeral expenses and to provide stability and support for Mikey during this incredibly difficult time.
