Sunday morning we woke up to the worst news our family has ever received. Our baby brother, Miguel Angel Gaeta, was taken from us, and we’ve spent every moment since then trying to process the unthinkable. We’re still just wishing this was all a bad dream that we’d eventually wake up from. He had so much life left to live; he had just turned 18 and was barely starting his journey, and in our eyes, he was still just a kid. Even though his time here was far too short, we find a small bit of peace knowing that he truly enjoyed the life he had. He was a beautiful soul who loved to dance and sing, and he had a heart that cared for everyone he met. His smile and his kind, goofy demeanor are permanently implanted in our minds, and we will carry them with us forever. Our brother was a light in this life, and even though he is gone, that light will never be forgotten. Rest in peace, baby brother. We’ll see you in the other life we pray. We are now facing the difficult task of saying goodbye and honoring Miguel’s memory. The funds raised will help cover funeral expenses.
