Honoring Micky Shawhan: Help with Final Expenses
Donation protected
In loving memory of Michelle (Micky) Shawhan of Des Moines, Iowa, who was in a tragic motorcycle accident on July 26, 2024. To say that she is survived by her son Joe, her daughter-in-law Carlee, her mom Kathy, her daughter Veca, and her sister Jessie, isn’t enough. She is survived by everyone she has ever met.
Micky was a bright (and mischievous) light in the lives of all who knew her, and her presence will be deeply missed. Born on April 4, 1978, Micky leaves behind a legacy of kindness, love, and warmth that touched everyone she encountered.
In her final act of generosity, Micky’s decision to be an organ donor will save the lives of up to seven individuals, embodying her selfless nature and desire to make a positive impact on the world. Her legacy of love and compassion lives on with the organ recipients as well as inspiring others to embrace life with the same zest and enthusiasm that Micky did.
Micky lived passionately and loved deeply. She knew no stranger and loved a good laugh. She was incredibly proud of her son, Joe, but we all know her furry son, Koda, was the favorite child. Micky, a friend to all, will be greatly missed.
This GoFundMe page is set up to assist with end-of-life expenses, hospital costs, and legal fees. Your support and contributions are greatly appreciated as we honor Micky’s memory and continue her legacy of spreading love and kindness to all.
Thank you for keeping Micky’s spirit alive and for being a part of her journey. Let us come together to celebrate the impact she had on everyone she met. Micky’s light will forever shine bright in our hearts.
