My grandmother, my second mother, Micki, aka Dorothy Tansil, passed away yesterday evening. Throughout my life, I witnessed her care focused on others and rarely on her own needs. She would always choose to sacrifice herself for the needs of her family, especially her grandchildren. I believe this aspect of her personality ultimately led to her choice to have a minimal funeral service in order to "not make a fuss." In fact, she said she wanted to be "in the ground by sunset" the same day she died.

Now that the time has come, I want to return the love and care she provided by respecting her wishes the best that I can. She did not have any funds set aside for burial services, which is slowing the process of fulfilling her wishes. Therefore, I am asking family and friends for any assistance possible raising the needed funds. Thank you all for your love and support.
