We are currently seeking donations to lay my father Michael Toledo, 58 of
Fruitland, NM to rest. Michael’s mother is the late Helen Toledo of Rock Point, Az. His father is the late Truman Toledo of Torreon, NM. Mike went on his journey home this morning at 7:04am in Durango, Co at Mercy Hospital. He leaves behind his wife Sharon of over 35 years together, his three remaining sons, his only daughter and four grandsons. Michael was a self taught artist all his life, however his main focus was making sculptures. Michael carved for over 30 years, he passed down his teachings to his sons. Unfortunately last year in July he lost his 3rd oldest son Jordan Toledo, 34 who was a sculptor who worked closely along his side. And this pass February Michael lost his oldest son Brandon Toledo, 37 who was also a sculptor. Mike leaves behind a legacy of beautiful art work. He was very well known and respected in the art world, selling sculptures to people all over the world. He was featured in magazines and took best of show many times in showcases all over such as Dallas, Phoenix, California etc. We are very proud of the name he made for himself. My father was a very hard working man, he made lifelong friendships with all his buyers. He did everything he could to provide for his family. If you ever had the privilege of meeting Mike then you would know how genuine his soul was. He was a kindhearted person who made everyone feel welcomed and loved. He was a father figure to many people and was loved dearly. We are going to miss him so much. He was surrounded with family whenever he passed away peacefully. Any amount of donations are kindly appreciated. We just want him to be laid to rest. Thank you. At this time we do not currently have a funeral service date.
