Honoring Michael: Support for Celebration of Life
Donation protected
I am doing this go fund me to try to help with the Celebration of Life expenses. It has been two weeks since Michael passed away and I feel an emptiness in my house that was never there before. He was such a bright light in my life, my fellow partner in crime that championed me towards my goals and dreams. As I start navigating my journey in life without him, I know that he would want me to stay strong and keep dreaming big. His support had gotten me through so many things. LPN nursing school, flight attendant training, and RN school. These were all goals and he helped to steady me along my way.
My Marine was steadfast and loyal to a T. He dedicated his life to this country and being a United States Marine shaped him into the perfect person to protect our family. He was so excited to take his nephew Xavier camping and I am saddened at the thought that this will never come to be. His dedication to his family and softness I saw when he was playing with his nephew outshined that tough exterior he outwardly portrayed. Gracie gave him so much courage and confidence to become independent.
He was such a romantic and bought me flowers two days before that dreadful day. His humor is truly what got me through the worst of times so when I am feeling alone, I think of those times and the tears just fall so hard. I can still hear his laughter as he tells his jokes and I miss his smile most of all. He always wanted to help the underdog and a lot of my time in some of the Facebook groups included him and I deciding who we were going to get groceries for or buy dog or cat food for. He wanted to show up so that they would feel less of the burden and that they mattered.
No one expects to lose the love of their life at such a young age, but I know he would want me to find the light in the dark and to make sure people know what a wonderful man he was and that he is smiling and laughing at us right now over the littlest things. He touched so many lives around him. Baby, like you said, we have “A marriage stronger than steel”
Every little bit will help to give him the best sendoff we can and if you aren’t able to, that is okay. Please share with all your friends and family.
