My name is Bailey, and I’m raising funds to honor my father’s last wishes. On September 30th, my dad Michael Stauf passed away unexpectedly from a stroke. He was only 48 years old. His passing has been a heartbreaking shock for my brother and me — I’m 26, and he’s 21 — and we’re doing our best to handle everything that comes with such a sudden loss.
One of my dad’s final wishes was to be cremated, and to have some of his ashes taken to Florida, a place that meant a lot to him. Unfortunately, because this was so unexpected, we didn’t have funds set aside to cover these expenses.
We’ve started a fundraiser to help with the costs of his cremation and to make that trip to carry out his final wishes. To help make this possible, we’re reaching out to those , asking for any form of support you might be able to give. Weather it’s a donations, weather it’s a prayer , or even sharing our GoFundMe.
Michael was a loving father who cherished his kids and had a passion for working on cars and trucks. He loved taking us to parks and trails to drive his RC cars, and he found joy in nature and family time. He was like a great big teddy bear—always wearing his heart on his sleeve, even if he could be stubborn at times.
He will truly be missed
The funds raised will help cover the cost of cremation and allow Devin and me to travel to Florida to spread some of our dad’s ashes in the place he loved. We want to honor his wishes and give him the peaceful farewell he deserves. Thank you all. God bless .
