Hi, my name is Chloe, and I am the oldest daughter of Michael’s fiancée, Laura. It is with heavy hearts that we share the unexpected passing of Michael Robert Nelson — lovingly known to so many as “Moose” — on the evening of Tuesday, February 24th,2026.

While we are devastated by this sudden loss, we are leaning on our faith and trusting that God is holding Michael in His eternal embrace.

Michael was truly one of a kind. If you knew Moose, you knew laughter. He had a way of lighting up every room with his humor, his big personality, and his generous heart. He was the most supportive person — always the first to show up, the first to lend a hand, and the first to make you smile when you needed it most.

He leaves behind his beautiful children — Lauren, Heidi, and Michael — who were his greatest blessings and the pride of his life. He loved them deeply and worked hard to provide for and guide them.

His passing was sudden and unexpected, leaving our family grieving and facing unexpected funeral and memorial expenses. We are asking for support to help cover these costs and to provide stability for his children during this incredibly difficult season.
