Michael Dean Thompson

The city of Vergennes will never be the same without Michael Dean Thompson, the leading man in the 'Mike and Helene' duo.

If you needed a laugh, Mike was your guy, often spinning yarns so complex you'd catch yourself off guard because in the end it was a joke expertly delivered, making you question, 'Wait, that didn't happen, did it?'

His smile and presence were warm and kind, always helping others when able to.

He had numerous friends, too many to acknowledge, but do know he loved you all.

He married Helene in 1998; those two were made for each other! They were best friends, and he took care of her every day, ensuring she had everything she needed. He loved her children as if they were his own without question.

In secret, his health was severely in decline. Just after midnight on Dec 2nd, Mike passed away at home. He kept the severity of his illness to himself, which leads to not being prepared for his passing. Are we ever really ready? I'm collecting funds to help with his cremation and any additional bills that may arise from his sudden passing. All money will be dedicated to ensuring that his arrangements can be paid and helping my mom through this difficult time as we figure out how to move forward.
