My father, “Jack”, spent his whole life serving his communities. He devoted his life to fundraising and helping people with scholarships, donations, and commemorations. Honor and commitment were important to my dad. As many of you know, my dad suffered from early onset dementia. I’ve worked hard to manage his finances and help him stretch his money. Unfortunately, my dad’s dementia often made it difficult to get him to understand clearly his budget constraints.
Since his passing, I have received many calls of condolences and offers to help. Therefore, I have created this final fundraiser… for Jack. We hope to be able to settle his affairs honorably, pay for his burial, and provide him with a memorial that can invite and recognize all the many people he helped and touched in his long life.
I want to personally thank all of you who have been his valued family, the Vallergas, the Hills, and the Walkers. I also want to thank Jack’s many friends in Santa Rosa and in Healdsburg as well as his friends throughout CA. On my dad’s behalf, I thank his friends at Healdsburg Senior Living, St. John’s Parish in Healdsburg, Healdsburg Sunrise Rotary, Santa Rosa East Rotary, Russian River Fly Fishers and Jack’s Montgomery High faculty and swimming companions. While my dad’s dementia made his last years difficult, we thank you all for remembering the good times, and helping us to settle his affairs and send him the final honors of his life.
Thank you kindly,
Matt
