Melissa McDonald, born and raised in Newark, New Jersey, was a beautiful and strong mother of five. She strived every day to be a better person than she was the day before—for herself and for those around her. She had a smile and a soul so bright that you could feel the love and safety around her, allowing everyone to be their true selves. She cast no judgment—maybe a joke here and there, but never judgment.
Melissa was understanding, forgiving, and selfless. She would give her last even if it meant going without. Although this is an incredibly painful time for our family, our only wish is to do right by her and her children by giving her the proper service she deserves.
At this time, our family is preparing her homegoing. We are asking for help to bring her home to her family, where she wanted to be laid to rest, and to provide a peaceful resting place for her final goodbyes. Any donations, or even simply sharing this information, would mean more than we can express.
We understand how difficult this season is for so many, especially during the holidays, but every little bit truly counts. Thank you in advance for your kindness, love, and support.
