Honoring Melinda: Support for Memorial Park Bench & Tree

I imagine if you are reading this note that Melinda Dawn Rollins Grieper has touched your life in some way over the years. To you maybe she was Melinda, Mindy, Linders, Mel, MyLinda or Madrina. She has so many nicknames of endearment that are a collective from all the paths of her life journey. The loss of our friend is felt deeply by so many which is a testimony to the beautiful soul and spirit of our friend Melinda. She was so open and kind, giving and thoughtful.

To honor Melinda a group of her friends are raising money to set up a memorial tree & park bench in her honor at a City of Orlando Park through the Orlando Trust organization that administers this for the City Beautiful (orlandotrust.org). If you knew Melinda you know how much she loved gardening, her flowers and the city she grew up in. We hope you join us to honor her and memorialize her for years to come; to offer a spot in this world to go and sit for a spell to "visit" our friend in a way we think she would love. Among the flowers and gardens of a local Orlando park. Once we get confirmation of which park choice is approved we will send out an update.

For full disclosure: The amount of $3,100 we are raising is to cover the cost of the park bench: $2,250, $300 for a concrete pad for the bench and the cost of a tree: $450. The additional $100 is to cover the GoFundMe fees.
